| The Navajo-Churro sheep are one of the oldest existing breeds of sheep in the U.S. They were brought from Iberia by the Spanish in the 1500's. They have thrived in the Southwest despite efforts to eradicate them in the 1800's. They are considered a rare breed of sheep with only several thousand still surviving. Known for their beautiful horns our Herd Sire (pictured right) exemplifies this characteristic and passes it on to his sons. | ![]() |

The ewes are easy "lambers" rarely needing any help. They are fiercely protective of their lambs. They will take turns watching over them. Our ewes usually have twins lambs with some lambing twice a year. Raised by the Navajo for centuries, their wool is highly prized for rug making. Shearing time has come and we have a few raw fleeces for sale. We usually have a few lambs/yearlings for sale. |
