Welcome to the Farm Tools section. Still growing. I've chosen to list first what is probably THE best value for the money in tool companies out there: Porter-Cable. I've used a lot of tools over the years and when first introduced to a Porter-Cable nailer a few years back, I was impressed. Since then, when I buy a new tool & if they make it (they usually do!), it's a Porter-Cable.

If you do any building around the farm, ranch or home, I've found nail guns invaluable for getting it done and saving your arm & wrist from stress injury. More impressive is how fast you can work with a nailer, how much more 1 person can do alone and still have things hold together. You can hold a piece with one hand and nail it firmly with a tap of the other. You'll see an improvement in the quality of your work and do it faster to boot! You'll need a compressor rated for the nailer you choose and in most cases a relatively small one will work. Nailers don't require a huge volume of air but do need adequate pressure and flow (which is rated in cubic feet per minute or CFM).

Ever had a jig saw shake your hand right off your work? It won't happen with a Porter-Cable. I thought all jig saws bounced - in fact I used to dread cuts that required using one. My other brand finally broke and & I upgraded to PC. What a difference a quality saw made! Steady performance, adjustable stroke and & wide selection of blade options make any cuts from rough to fine or tight turns enjoyable.

Be sure to wear safety glasses when working with power tools like the ones described & available here.

Get you some new tools & get 'er done! (I have some other favorites for certain jobs I'll expand on soon).

WD.
