Introducing Lil' Longears Gus' Hot Shot. We just call him Hot Shot for "short". Hot Shot is a very unique miniature donkey. At 4 years old he stands 29 inches tall (this is his mature height). Hot Shot is an exceptionally correct and balanced donkey who is social and friendly. However, you don't have to take our word for it. This son and brother of Grand Champions, is a World Grand Champion himself, having won the World Grand Champion Jack at the 2002 Calgary Stampede. That means he was judged as the Best jack in the show of any size! Hot Shot's Breeding Book is now open for 2007 and 2008. Now, other farms can add this championship blood, conformation, and wonderful personality into their breeding programs. Top Texas Livestock, Inc. is proud to offer a limited number of breeding to outside farms in 2007. The fee in '07-08 is $500.00 USD - an affordable way to diversify your herd and take advantage of proven championship breeding.

When we first met the son of Sunrise Mountain Augustus III ("Gus" - an International and National Halter and Performance Champion Jack) and Lil' Longears Sunset's Twilight (a NMDA and ADMS National and International Champion Jennet) we knew he had the breeding.  Would he prove out?  In the coming year or so, he would win many accolades and ultimately be judged the best of the best at the World Famous Calgary Stampede. 

Hot Shot also holds the distinction of being the world's smallest World Grand Champion, he stood 28 inches tall at Calgary.
